Research and what to check
A 28-day trial in adults with moderate eczema studied a ceramide-rich cream and cleanser together. Hydration and water-loss measures improved; eczema severity did not differ between groups. The study had manufacturer involvement.

Centella Asiatica Extract
Centella asiatica
A botanical extract studied in moisturizing and soothing formulas, often called cica.
Research and what to check
A four-week study in 25 volunteers examined 2.5% and 5% extract formulas on the forearms. Researchers reported hydration and water-loss improvements and assessed experimentally induced redness.
